Not weird enough to be a Witch?*

Bewitched-episode 1 "The Witches are out"

People seem to be fascinated to find out that I'm a Witch. They always say things, "Your not that weird" or " I would never have thought that about you" Now don't get me wrong most people thing I'm eccentric...I bass Bollywood music when I drive the car and I have been known to sing and/or dance in the grocery store, just to name a few. Yet still I am not weird enough to be a Witch...when I ask I get "Well you don't wear all black and dress Goth" or " You don't act like a flaky hippie" or my favorite "You don't act like the ones on TV"...LOL Apparently unless I dress like Stevie Nicks or somehow resemble the Cure...I can't possibly be a Witch.
Ok, I know that most people that cruise by my blog are affiliated with Paganism...but I also know that is not all that we are..we are Mothers, Fathers, friends, lovers, sisters, brothers..so I think it is silly to assume that my identity can be completely defined by my beliefs. My experiences and my ability to move through the day without pulling my hair out are contributing factors to who I am, I am a Domestic Witch...I infuse my life with my Faith...weird enough or not that's who I am. ^_^
Blessed Be*

  1. Thank you! I hate when people assume stuff about me because I look "normal". Of course, I equally hate when Pagans perpetuate that all "real" pagans have to look Goth or Hippy. I threw a fit when a parenting website interviewed a "weird" pagan mom as a shining example of all of us During that stupid Christine O'Donnell stupidity). Not only was this witch's facts not straight, she didn't represent an Wiccan, Pagan or Witch I've ever met. When I complained to the editor, they told me I was being prejudiced.

Why can't people just learn to keep their mouth's shut if they are going to be dumb?
